I'm a big fan of classical Greek plays. Lately, I've gotten into reading American plays like Arthur Miller's The Crucible and Tennessee Williams's The Glass Menagerie. Shakespeare has always been a hit with me and so is Henrik Ibsen. But as with any newly-discovered taste, I know l've barely scratched the surface and there's a whole mine of gold waiting for me.
I want to compile a masterlist of must-read plays and go through it, as long as the text in English is available. What are your favorite plays? I don't have any preferred genre of plays so shoot away!

The Cherry Orchard and Uncle Vanya
Chekhov is peak playwright in my books
I would also recommend Ibsen’s Hedda Gabler and Sarah Kane’s works
If you liked Hamlet, you might like “Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead”
by Tom Stoppard, a modern, absurdist take from the perspective of the aforesaid characters.
