I am looking for non fiction or fiction books about someone’s adventures in the outdoors/wilderness. I’ve read ‘Into The Wild’ and while that is similar to what I am looking to read I am hoping for a book that is more akin to the TV show ‘Alone’. In terms of fiction I am thinking of certain scenes from The Hunger Games and The Martian where the main characters are having to problem solve using their survival skills.
Would love any recommendations that you think might fit this description. Thanks!

“Wild” by Cheryl Strayed (non-fiction)
For fiction, all the ones I know are YA lol: “Hatchet” by Gary Paulsen, “The Cay”, “Julie of the Wolves”, “Island of the Blue Dolphins”
The Hatchet – can’t remember who it was by, decades ago, but I liked it.
Walden by Theroux – maybe not what you’re looking for
Life of Pi is a popular one which might have the right vibe
