Books similar to “The Glassmaker” and “The Illuminator”?

I’m looking to get my mom a few books for Christmas, but it’s tough since we have wildly different book tastes. Those 2 titles she’s read recently and loved. If anyone’s read those, could you recommend anything similar? Thanks so much!!
