A family member has been getting into reading for the past year and she really enjoyed Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings and Chronicles of Narnia.
I'm an avid reader of fantasy and sci-fi, but I'm not sure which way to go as she's 15. I'd prefer a more world and action oriented book, rather than romance.
Maybe the Mistborn series or Shades of Magic? I loved Percy Jackson when I was her age so I was also contemplating going with that. Every suggestion is greatly appreciated.

I think the Abhorsen series by Garth Nix would be a perfect recommendation for her.
I love this series.
A Wizard of Earthsea by Ursula K LeGuin
The Aurelian Cycle series by Rosaria Munda is an excellent YA fantasy series.
Artemis Fowl or Bartemaeus trilogy!
