I like sci-fi and fantasy but horror is also cool. I just feel like the YA stuff isn’t appealing anymore but more mature writing for older adults also isn’t interesting to me. Idk, I’d like to get back into reading consistently and some book suggestions for my step mom to get me for Christmas would be helpful.

I highly recommend books by Jeff Menapace! He writes mostly thrillers/horror. I’d start with the Bad Games series (5 books in series). It’s available in paperback, audio, ebook, and with the Kindleunlimited subscription.
