Preferably something either a bit short (<200 pages) OR something that dives in quickly.
Next week is the finish line before my 2 week break. Other than visiting with family for the holidays, I plan to tend to my “inner world” so to speak, which leads to writing, painting, etc., but after so many unending months of work, school, moving states, and just kind of a tough year, I really want something to pull me back into that headspace (or at least help cultivate it).
Looking for something:
– heartfelt, emotionally deep and expressive
– beautiful prose
– Dead Poets Society meets Picture of Dorian Gray?
– not Christmas/holiday focused, but refers to themes/elements of the colder months (a preference, but not a necessity).
I’m feeling particularly inclined towards a classic or maybe a foreign language translated.
