Saw a challenge online to read an author's entire set of works over next year and I want to do it. What are good suggestions from ya'll. For reference, I am an environmental science teacher, Christian, father, enjoyer of fantasy, classics, science, and horror. Currently reading three books: After Virtue by Alasdair Macintyre, Life as We Made It by Beth Shapiro, and finished Agents of Dreamland by Caitlin R. Kiernan today (also started it today, it's short!). I have a toddler and a teacher's workload so please don't suggest someone with several dozen books like Stephen King.

    1. I’m about to do this with R.F. Kuang and I’ve very much enjoyed all of her books. They all fall into the fantasy realm other than Yellowface but it’s still a good read. I think in total it would be 6 books (including a 1/2 book in the Poppy Wars series).

    2. Gary Jennings. He passed too soon, but left some great books. Aztec. Journeyor. Spangle. Raptor

I did it with Joyce Carol Oates when I knew she was coming to speak locally.

      That was an EDUCATION.

Susannah Clarke has a short catalog but all four of her books are simply excellent. Fantastical and with Jane Austen, C.S. Lewis, Tolkien, Thackery, Alan Moore, LeGuin influences.

    5. The complete works of Connie Willis, I think would be right up your alley…

Sci-fi writer, brilliant, has short stories, novellas and novels… has won plenty of Hugo awards…

Has quite a few Christmas stories, all of which are delightful, especially ‘all seated on the ground’ which I think you’d love…

      Neal Shusterman

His books will hit the mark for dystopian fantasy and a little horror in each book.

I’ve read everything by Jeff Wheeler (and the majority of them link together at some point)

I’m pretty sure I’ve read all of James Rollins books

I’ve read everything by Danielle Steel up to about 2000 (there are a LOT LOL) so I’m behind on that

I think I’ve read all of Kent Nerburn’s works (but I might not have)

I’ve read about half of Boo Walkers stuff (I’d read it all but funds refuse to allow me to finish it off lol)

Madeleine L’engle. From a heathen’s perspective, a beautiful writer on the intersections of faith and science as well as parenting. Her work is much deeper, broader, and weirder than just A Wrinkle in Time. It would be tricky to read literally everything she ever wrote in a year, but I think if you read just everything that’s still in print it would be manageable. She’s got about 16 major novels, but they are each short.
