Earlier this year, I read Slaughterhouse Five by Kurt Vonnegut, and I devoured it. I really liked the story, but I thought it was really weird.
I really liked the parts of the story that were about the war. I didn’t think all of the flashback parts were bad, but the alien stuff was a little weird. But mostly I liked the war parts, and I really really really liked the way that Kurt Vonnegut writes. I was wondering what else I should read because it sucked me in.
A few weeks after that, I read All Quiet on the Western Front, and I crushed through that too. So I’m guessing I might like war fiction written based on peoples experiences, but I also did just really like Vonnegut’s writing, so maybe I should try his other books.
Thank you.
