Not a big reader but when I find a book that I like I find it difficult to put down.
I like western stories and adventure stories. I have recently enjoyed The Sisters Brothers and True Grit but struggling to find something else.
I have tried Blood Meridian but really struggling to get into it, tried 3/4 times and can’t get it. Very confusing and I often read when I’m tired in bed
Any suggestions would be great

Short chapters needed? You could try the Reacher series.
Try The Killer Inside Me by Jim Thompson. It’s not exactly a western, but set in Texas and the main character is a sheriff. It’s wonderful noir literature and Thompson is a master at the Dark and brooding but super readable.
Edit: apparently there’s an edition with an intro by Stephen king. Don’t read the introduction until you’ve finished the book. I guess there’s a big spoiler in the intro.
Craig Johnson’s Longmire series.
Could try out *Appaloosa* by Robert B. Parker. It’s a story about two gun slingers in the Wild West. Quite entertaining, and doesn’t require much brain power to enjoy. There’s shootouts and stuff but I found the writing style to be quite relaxing. 😂
