I am looking for a book as a gift for someone who enjoyed the «Thursday Murder Club» series by Richard Osman, and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions/recommendations. It does not necessarily have to be a book of the same genre or style, but it would be nice if the book was immersive, suspenseful, exciting, lighthearted and somewhat of an easy read. I understand that people can enjoy this series for different reasons, but I am sure you guys have great taste. For the sake diversity, it would be a plus if the book was written by a women. And, famous or popular books will most likely be easier for me to get fast. Thanks in advance, Reddit!

The Appeal by Janice Hallett
I am a fan of the Cormoran Strike series by Robert Galbraith (JK Rowling)
By turns funny, suspenseful, and with great characters.
Also British AF
Magpie Murders by Anthony Horowitz
Only suggesting that because Janice Hallett, a far superior rec, was already mentioned
