    I’m new to reading, I tried reading previously and didn’t really work, I tried reading the divine comedy by Dante Alighieri and did like 3/4 of it never finished it, tried atomic habits and only did a few pages, I thought it wasn’t for me to be a reader, but then my fiance gifted me upgrade by Blake Crouch and it blew my mind, I finished it in about 2 weeks, it was really immersive, I loved the book, that’s anyone have any suggestions for similar books that can quickly hook me like that?

      Well, setting aside the obvious suggestion to check out Blake Crouch’s other books:

      * Andy Weir: Project Hail Mary
      * John Scalzi: Lock In or The Kaiju Preservation Society
      * Marcus Sakey: Brilliance
      * Tom Sweterlitsch: Tomorrow and Tomorrow (or The Gone World)
      * Daniel Suarez: Daemon

      Blake Crouch’s other recent sci-fi novels, Dark Matter and Recursion, are both incredible. Dark Matter is my favorite.

      The Martian by Andy Weir is great, there are portions that are science focused but it’s totally accessible for a regular reader, and has a very witty/funny voice.

      The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton, sort of a Groundhog Day murder mystery. It’s designed for you to not completely know what’s going on so don’t let that stop you!
