Does anyone have any recommendations on books about having emotionally unavailable parents, yknow parents who do the bare minimum for their child, bonus if it's an oldest child or only child MC. Books about resentment toward their parents, how to deal with them, how to cope, how to move on from a household that seems like you can't leave.
It can be not limited to fiction or nonfiction, self help books can help too.. thanks

Khaled Hosseini’s books (The Kite Runner, A Thousand Splendid Suns, And the Mountains echoed) are a surefire way to make you cry. They als deal with highly sensitive topics so look up about its trigger warnings just to be safe.
