I'm not the biggest classic book fan. There are some I like, but most of the ones I've read are either boring, confusing, or hard to read, sometimes all three at once. Can you recommend a classic that I might like? I like all genres except historical fiction

Animal Farm by George Orwell. It’s short and I think the message is fairly clear. Not a lot of names to remember (looking at you, Catch-22) and lots of study guides online since it’s heavily read in high school English classes
The Count of Monte Cristo!
The Scarlett Letter -Obscene
Depends what sort of books you like.
War: All Quiet On The Western Front is a classic, easy read and wow!
Horror: Frankenstein, Dracula
Fantasy: Lord of the Rings. If you find that hard, cheat and watch the movies first.
Charles Dickens – Oliver Twist. (Orphans, crime, the terrible life in mid 19th century England)
William Golding – Lord of the Flies. (Boys on desert Island descend into violence)
Eleanor Atkinson – Greyfriars Bobby (Dog tale)
Kidnapped by Robert Louis Stevenson (Adventure)
None are especially hard to read.
