The Catcher in the Rye

So yeah it's a pretty long story, basically I heard that Life is Strange was heavily inspired by this book to the point that the game's protagpnist, Max Caulfield, was named after this book's protag Holden Caulfield. So do y'all recommend for me to read it? is it emotional? What should I expect? What did you like or dislike about it? Keep it spoiler-free as much as possible pls
