I've lately had a blast reading the likes of John LeCarre, Red Sparrow and similar. But they are all intensive character studies – are there any espionage stories that are less action based, more on the technical side of things?
I wouldn't mind fact-based books for a change either, but most I stumbled about on a broader search were more summaries about geopolitical operations, rather than a look at the technique
