It doesn’t matter to me if it’s YA or adult
I’m looking for a book that enemies to lovers, or at the very least has a little bit of romance, and has a fun, kind of puss in boots kind of adventure. (But with humans). Something funny and interesting with a really good adventure to it.
Not necessary, but bonus points if it’s got fencing or at least swords, and bonus points if it’s got LGBTQ characters.

The Princess Bride might fit well for you. Romance, poisonings, sword fights… It is very funny and written as if it is an abridged version of an original text, so it has an interesting tone. It isn’t YA but I read it at 15, being familiar with the film, it is eccentric and enjoyable.
