Hi! I'm looking for sapphic book recommendations where inner conflict or religion is a major source of tension or restraint for the main character. Preferably romance, but something similar to Lesbian Nuns: Breaking Silence would be appreciated too!

Camp Damascus by Chuck Tingle deals with religion & a sapphic relationship
Night’s Edge by Liz Kerin does not have religious themes but has a lot of internal conflict regarding a codependent relationship
Both are categorized as LGBT Horror, night’s edge was scarier imo, Camp damascus is scarier if you have religious trauma.
Stone Fruit is a graphic novel where one character in a relationship comes from a deeply religious conservative background and is conflicted about it.
[Gay the Pray Away by Natalie Naudus](https://bookshop.org/p/books/gay-the-pray-away-natalie-naudus/21191657?ean=9798990080102)
The World Cannot Give by Tara Isabella Burton
This Is How You Lose the Time War by Amal El-Mohtar & Max Gladstone
Cantoras by Carolina De Robertis
If you are also interested in a fantasy world with fictional religion: *The Jasmine Throne* by Tasha Suri. There are three distinct religions, and their teachings are crucial to the characters’ motivations and quite a lot of conflict, too.
