I'd say im new to reading as a side hobby, helps me get away from the phone while entertaining me, so far only read 3 books
It ends with us
It starts with us
Percy jackson :the lightning thief
I enjoyed the 1st 2 books ,too much detailed +18 scenes but since it's literally my first book, i had no "bar" or "standards" for these type of scenes, so while reading the whole book ,i completely enjoyed it ,never really noticed any plot holes or just smth that readers might consider weird for a book ,im just defending this book with my life cuz i literally loved it till i saw what the fandom thinks of it lol,not much to say about percy jackson, i liked it alot tho
So please give me recommendations other than harry potter ,thanks alot 🙂

What other stories do you like? Ie tv, movies, etc. That would help people give you better recs.
Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer – Modern fantasy with a super genius kid and a secret world of fairies
The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Addams – Comedy space adventure, beloved classic
The Mysterious Affair At Styles by Agatha Christie – Classic murder mystery, the first featuring famous detective Hercule Poirot
The Coldest Girl in Coldtown by Holly Black – Coming-of-age adventure vampire romance
The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater – YA coming-of-age witchy vibes, adventure/mystery, magic, and boarding school
The giver, The outsiders, Where the red fern grows, Of mice and men, Bridge to Terabithia
If you are new to reading, this is where I would start. These are not extremely long, but are all very good and well renowned books. This is where my love of reading grew from.
