while at oktoberfest, my friends’ children expressed curiosity in other cultures. with me being the nerdiest of all involved, i offered to host the kids to a cultural night with foods, crafts, and stories as authentic as i could find. their first request was china, their second mexico. if these events prove to be successful, others will follow. if anyone has suggestions to any of the requests above but specifically for an appropriate chinese book for children, something that includes a parable or significant story in chinese history/relevance, would you please leave it here? i’m afraid i have no local sources to vet authenticity.
