I'm currently thinking of a fictional fantasy universe. I will probably not write it any time soon but i like imagining myself as a personal writer and how i would write this book. I'm strongly set on the idea that it would be interesting to write this story as a log book type of book. Writen from the point of view of a character who wanders around, finds their group of people and writes it all down in a logbook/ Diary. I also thought of letting the other main characters also write in that logbook to kind of tell the viewer about their story and daily life aswell.
Now my problem is, I only like imagining and writing, i don't like reading. As a result I'm not quite sure what the norm is for most novels and I'm not quite sure how i could make the concept work. Does anyone know any good books with similar structures i could read to help me read some fiction and figure it out?
(I do like reading a little but only if it's a really good story and of the book can keep me interested all the time, otherwise i loose focus.)
