Mexican authors and/or books on Mexican Culture/History/Art

Going to Mexico on vacation soon and I want to read about it.

Anything goes, fiction, fantasy, non-fiction etc!

Preferably local authors and/or indigenous perspectives but it does not need to be dry history. I‘d like to bring a good mix of fiction and non-fiction.

Going to LA after so anything on the Mexican American context is a bonus!
