I've recently being trying to pick up reading again. I used to read a lot of books until I was 16-17 (in my mid twenties now) and then almost completely stopped reading books. Back when I read a lot I usually stuck to YA fantasy (Artemis Fowl, Narnia, HP and the like). I've a hard time getting back into the habit.
There are some books I've picked up and enjoyed semi-recently these include:
- The first Mistborn Trilogy (mainly for the magic system and setting, less for the characters)
- World War Z (usually don't like zombies nor zombie apocolyses but I liked how this book is written)
- The Hobbit (though I had a hard time focusing on it and needed and audiobook to keep my focus. Will read LOTR eventually)
- A Court of Thorns and Roses (a friend lend it to me, though after hearing about the sequels I'm not sure it's for me. I'm not sure if I want to dive into romantasy just yet >.>)
Currently reading and enjoying:
The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August
Do you have any recommendations for me? I'm willing to try things as long as it's not nonfiction or historical fiction.
