I just realized that I don’t think I’ve ever read a book where the main character was elderly (at least where the main events in the book happened while they are old and not young). So yeah not just one where it’s an elder retelling a story from when they were young. I also have a general fear of getting older and I don’t feel I can relate to people much older than me very well. So maybe a book like this could help change my perspective. By elderly I’m thinking 65+ but that’s not a hard rule if there’s a book you really want to recommend.
Also if the book just so happens to be public domain or free to read online for some other reason please let me know! Bonus points for that
