I need suggestions for the upcoming year. I'm in a bit of a reading slump caused by some books that I've not enjoyed and I have nothing on my TBR. I'm open to anything fiction, I'm not that particular about the genre, though I don't like poetry or historical fiction.
One of my favourite books right now is Bad Habits by Alana S. Portero. I also like The perks of being a wallflower, Everyone in this room will someday be dead (Emily Austen), Honeybee (Craig Silvey), Hamnet (Maggie O'Farrell, the Wall (Marlen Haushofer).
Some of the books I have not enjoyed are The Broken Earth Trilogy (I really liked the first one and finished the whole trilogy, but wasn't that exited about it by the end), the Poppy War Trilogy (read the first two, didn't bother with the last one, felt repetitive and couldn't stand the protagonist). I swear I like fantasy books, I just haven't found a story I feel invested in.
    Any suggestion will be appreciated!

I absolutely loved Hamnet. Here are some titles I read and really enjoyed this past year.
      Bel Canto,
      Anxious People,
      A Man Called Ove,
      All the Broken Places,
      The Dutch House,
All the Things I Never Told You,
      Weyward,
      The Four Winds
