Twilight/ Sookie Stackhouse but for adults

Hi everyone! I’m looking for a supernatural-genre book or series that is similar to Twilight or the Sookie Stackhouse series but for adults. I read Twilight when I was younger and I absolutely loved it. I then saw a lot of recommendations for the Sookie Stackhouse series. I read the first book, but I just cannot get over the writing and lackluster characters. I think because I am over a decade older, I need something that appeals to my age-range. 30+ is preferred. I’m interested in a strong male lead with an intelligent female. I quite loved the tv series A Discovery of Witches but now I’m not looking to read that particular series because I prefer to read the books first.
