I’m starting off the year with The Eye of the Bedlam Bride (Dungeon Crawler Carl #6) by Matt Dinniman. Audiobook of course! I paused the series after book 5 because I wanted to wait closer to book 7’s audiobook release date, so that I’d have two books to enjoy. I’ll likely be listening to this one throughout the month.
What are you reading to start off the year, and why?

Mostly harmless from Douglas Adams
I’m reading a drop of corruption by Robert Jackson Bennett (it’s the upcoming book in his Shadow of the Leviathan series and I was lucky enough to get an ARC!)
Just finished A Song to Drown Rivers by Ann Liang, was my first book by her and was a little disappointed because I’ve heard such good things about her as an author.
Christmas at Hogwarts. Reading it with the kids, still holding onto the festive spirit. 😁
It Lasts Forever and Then It’s Over by Anne de Marcken
My plan is to try to “read my shelves” first. Starting with A lol because I’m weird.
So first up: The Salmon of Doubt by Douglas Adams.
Gonna reread The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet and proceed through the entire Wayfarers series. Then jump back into The Wandering Inn. Currently on Volume 7. How is Dungeon Crawler Carl? I’ve seen it in Barnes & Noble and was debating on picking it up.
Hollywood husbands, Jackie Collins. Trashy, I know, but that’s just what I need right now
Still finishing up Jurassic Park from last year, great book!

Tender Is the Flesh because apparently I want to fuck my shit up right away this year.
The Atlas Six. I’m not loving it, but I have high hopes for this year’s list of books otherwise.
Just started “The church of the mountain of flesh”, just because I came across it on Libby and it looked interesting.
I’m only a little way in, but I have no idea wtf is going on
The Count of Monte Cristo.
Older book. Author new to me.
Am enjoying the heck out of “Eleanor Rigby” by Douglas Coupland. How did I miss this author? Next up “All Families Are Psychotic”.
I have entered the new year with reading Tess of the D’ubervilles, I’m about halfway through & love it
Technofeudalism. It’s an ebook from the library so I have to finish it before it auto returns.
