LOOKING FOR BOOK BUT CAN’T REMEMBER TITLE/AUTHOR (& what I remember of the plot isn’t particularly detailed)

In the book a girl goes to a rural town and becomes a teacher, I’m pretty sure it’s her hometown and she left when she went to college or something.

She used to ride horses then something happened and she stopped, again can’t be 100% sure but think she became scared of doing it. Towards the end of the book she ends up riding one to save the male leads nephew when the horse he’s on spooks and runs off. If I remember correctly it’s at some annual party.

I’m pretty sure there’s another woman fighting for male leads attention, I have in my head that she’s blonde and every bit the ‘ranchers/cowboy’ wife material, where FMC isn’t.

Male character doesn’t ever want to leave town but ends up making a big gesture at the end and turning up at her place in the city.

Book ends with her taking a position as a teacher in the next town over so she can be with male lead.

Not much to go on but I read this a couple of years ago and would love to reread!
