I have recently started reading books and have just completed Harry Potter. I got A Game of Thrones after watching the series but quickly regretted it because it was too hard to read, I had to keep looking through the dictionary. So I have decided to start with something easier to read. I'm not bad with English, so don't go that easy on me. I like True Crime, Thriller, Horror, Adventure, and Fantasy.
Edit: I don't mind book series too.

Books by Dan brown, Shari Lapena, Harlan Coben
Their books are fast paced and easy to understand and keeps you hooked in
**Name of the wind and a wise man’s fear** are the books I’d recommend to people who liked harry potter.
Not because they are very similar but because they are the closet to giving that feeling I get when reading hp
I do have to warn though they are the first books in a series that look like might never get finished as it’s been 13 years since the second was published.
Although the story is unfinished the books are stil very good.
Tortilla Flats – John Steinbeck
A book that will cling to your heart!
Try the Scholomance series (A Deadly Education is the first book) by Naomi Novik.
Darker shade of magic by VE Schwab!
Try light novels translated into English. Apparently, Disillusioned Adventurers Will Save the World is excellent.
