hi all, just discovered this sub and i already love it :)) I read 92 books in 2024 and i’m hoping to hit 100 for the first time in 2025 (i listen while running & will be marathon training) so i’m looking for suggestions. 90/92 in 2024 were audiobooks, so bonus points if the audio is especially good!
my top 10 of 2024 (not in order):
my dark vanessa (kate elizabeth russell)
the cerulean sea chronicles (tj klune)
the pairing (casey mcquiston)
bright young women (jessica knoll)
in the dream house (carmen maria machado)
an academy for liars (alexis henderson)
just for the summer (abby jimenez)
anxious people (fredrik backman)
strange sally diamond (liz nugent)
the push (ashley audrain)
some other all time favs are lessons in chemistry, tomorrow&tomorrow&tomorrow, normal people, rodham (i’ve read all of curtis sittenfeld’s work), absolutely remarkable thing, and secret history. so, generally well written brainy stuff that simmers, if that makes sense. (i’m aware my taste is a little basic, oops)
