I've been getting into a hobby of buying obscure books with bad, odd, or mediocre covers. It's less of the stories within them that I care about- they could contain the secrets to the universe, for all I care- but it's the covers that I love to take and display. Personal favorites include (and again, no hate on the authors, I'm sure their stories are great):
> The Frozen Moon by Lydia Brooks for featuring an AI cover (pretty sure that's NightCafe right there, I'm a frequent user),
> Duskwood by A. Wolf for making a self-made cover that you can tell was made by the artist,
> The Sight by David Clement-Davies for featuring an uncanny yet professional cover which stares into my soul.
The suggestions I'm looking for, as odd as it sounds, relate to the covers. So, what are some books with bad or odd covers? And any sites/lists that feature books I might be interested in would be greatly appreciated as well. There's no real suggestions I would say for the content within the books. If there's a 5-dollar book out there with an open can of beans haphazardly thrown on an off-centered cover, I'll snatch it :P. I do have a preference for hand-drawn/AI-generated covers, with bonus points if it's by an under-18 author.
Thanks!
