Hi, I don't read lots but I'm trying to get more into it and my favourite kind of story is the type where bad people are given kindness and heal from it, think The Good Place, Bojack Horseman, Les Miserables, etc, and stories about how community and connection can help people out of bad places, especially when they have a leftist perspective.
I love some good sardonic humour and was raised on british comedy so I especially enjoy that, I usually read horror so I don't mind it being dark, and romance usually bores me unless it's done really well. I mostly wanna get really attached to a group of characters and watch them grow as people.
Thanks for any suggestions!!

A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman! The book follows Ove, a grumpy, curmudgeonly old man whose life is slowly transformed by the kindness of his new neighbors. It’s both heartfelt and at times humurous, and at it’s core it’s a story about community, love, and the power of connection.
