What are some good books for someone who only tends to delve in the social sciences, biology, and nonfiction in general?

I look at some of the other readers on Goodreads for example, and I realize that I've never read a book on law or politics. And I have a huge gap in knowledge from only reading nonfiction for the past 15 years or so. So, fiction reads would be nice, but I'll accept any other books that you think escape my radar.
