I’m sick of spicy romcoms and sappy YA romances. Can anyone suggest me a well-written romance book where the man is in the military and he’s in love with someone who’s not? Any cliche is okay. Military man falls for enemy. Military man falls for nurse. Military man has lady waiting at home. Something like Purple Hearts if you know the film 🥺

Try ‘Making Faces’ by Amy Harmon. One of my favorite books. Great for getting away from sappy romances or overly dramatic sex scenes. There’s also ‘dear John’ and ‘the lucky one’ by Nicholas sparks but I haven’t read those so can’t give a personal opinion.
