Do you read "faster" when you think the book is boring and "slower" when you love the book so much you don't want to "go too fast" as to not "savour" the plot?
I just started thinking about that where people said they don't "finish" classics. In my mind, sometimes I do this thing where I really want to read the book because I know it's supposed to be a classic so i just read faster than usual. Kinda like "skimming"
In my nature (I am a capricorn) i'm very detail-oriented and "quality over quantity". Don't slag me on the capricorn thing, it's actually true to every aspect of my personality except the "will to be powerful" (i'm actually quite shy and introverted). So it's actually really "hard" for me to "cut corners". Always in my life I get told i'm "too slow" but that my work is "exceptionally well done". It's a bit of a bummer knowing that i'm slow but that's just my nature.
Just wondering what you guys do. Instead of stopping flat out, maybe you also just "read faster" and skim instead of stop. I bet there's real monsters out there who even skip whole pages. The horror! (clasps hooves over mouth in shock)

Side note: I’ve also noticed this between people in regards to social media. For example, When I open up something like facebook or instagram, I go methodically looking at each and every post for at least a second or two. Whereas my husband, who is the opposite of me (he’s a gemini go figure) just rips through the feed at breakneck pace only stopping if something “really catches his eye”.
Which one are you? Slow & Steady or Fast & Furious?
