I enjoy reading, and I’d like to continue the experience while working out. Of course, I’m talking about an audiobook.
The thing is, this will be my first time trying it. I’ve been thinking that fiction might be a bit tricky to fully focus on. The same goes for poetry. I feel those genres require 100% of your attention.
So, I’m looking for suggestions for books to listen to at the gym. Maybe light essays? Or perhaps first-person narratives—maybe that would work better in this context.
Do you have any ideas?
Looking forward to your suggestions!

I’ve found that listening to YA at the gym in the best lmao. Like it’s light enough where it doesn’t matter if you unfocus for a minute to do your set. I find that audiobooks where you should be listening intently work best with doing cardio like walking, running, biking.
Some suggestions of books I’ve listened to while lifting are;
Maze Runner Trilogy
Percy Jackson Series
For cardio stuff I mostly like listening to nonfiction
