General Book on the Early Modern Period of Western Civilization (1500-1800)

I'd like to dive into the period starting around roughly 1500 and ending around roughly 1800.

Ideally, the book will touch on all the major themes and topical areas to provide a good, well-rounded education: economic, military, arts, religion, society, etc.

Prefer not to dive too deep into any one area for now, but to capture the essence of the age.

Prefer it to be centered on Europe and the New World.
