I want a book about exploring a world that has secrets, hidden caves, strange monsters, unexplored forest. (Does not need to have everything listen)

When I was an active World of Warcraft player I spent 90% of my time exploring the world, looking for easter eggs, hidden secrets etc.

I do like exploring both in fiction and in real life, so a book with this theme would be appreciated, thanks!
