I'm just a out shy of halfway through my second go through of "Death is a Lonely Business". My first read through was well over ten years ago and I recall quite liking it. This go through, I'm still enjoying it, but what I'm noticing at times, is when Bradbury is describing situatio s or the environment, he sometimes makes no sense to meand then quickly reals it back in. Now i do have pretty sever adhd but am medicated lol. So is it my brain is just spacing for a second and his descriptions arent that obscure or is this a writing technique hes utilizing to paint a more thriller esque environment since this is kinda murder mystery? Or if you'd like to discuss other parts of the book or the author in general.

    1. I don’t pretend to be some literary expert, just a massive Bradbury fan, so take my opinion with a grain of salt. Ray writes his prose like poetry. And I love him for it. Sometimes, for me, his descriptions can summon up hyper-specific feelings that link my emotional state with the character’s, and for a brisk wall-breaking moment, even his state of mind as he’s writing. No other author does that to me. But other times, Ray’s tangents don’t make any damn sense and confuse me if I’m trying to track the story beat for beat. That’s the joy of reading Bradbury.
