Been on a NF kick since the start of the new year. So far I've finished Health and Safety by Emily Witt, Question 7 by Richard Flannagan, a few of Annie Ernaux's work. Currently reading Chernobyl by Serhii Plokhy.
Would love recommendations of your personal, all-time-favourite books whether it be a collection of essays, journals or anything interesting or specific that excited you, especially if they're obscure or not overhyped. I've got a healthy curiosity as long as it's very well written and researched and utterly engrossing. Like I have a book about mushrooms on my TBR list to give you an idea.
My usual go-tos authors regardless of fiction/non-fiction are Susan Sontag, Olivia Laing, Deborah Levy, James Baldwin, Virginia Woolf, Elena Ferrante, Simone de Beauvoir, Annie Ernaux, Jeannette Winterson, Rachel Cusk, Clarice Lispector and Natalia Ginzburg. I'm great with literary fiction but still feeling my way around what piques my interest with NF.
Thank you 🙂
