I am currently reading The Poisonwood Bible (which I am loving btw!) and haven’t yet chosen what I will be reading next but I do like to start thinking about it before I finish a book so I can see if I A) own it [I have a large amount of unread books that I own] or B) if I need to put it on hold at the library.
I’m hoping the Reddit community will have some suggestions for me. I tend to enjoy nonfiction/history books as well as historical fiction, especially when the books have been well researched. I love feeling like I’m being thrown into another culture, another city, another time period. And yes, I do use Goodreads but it doesn’t always help me find the right type of book. Sometimes I’ll end up with something that is just not quite right.
Some other books that I have read recently (and enjoyed) that might help give you an idea of what types of books I enjoy:
•March by John Lewis (the graph novel series)
•The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot
•Across Many Seas by Ruth Behar
•Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt
•The Giver of Stars by Jojo Moyes
