Ok. My grandma is nearing the end if her life. She's struggled with COPD for 5+ years now and lives with my parents. She was a wild, and became a free spirit after her 40s. We grew up visiting her on a lake in Florida and have so many fond memories of her being her. She was an artist and loved travel. She had a dark sense of humor, avid reader, and loved playing cards. I went to school and florida and grew very close. Shes the most honest person i know and takes no shit. I even named my business after the nickname shes called me since birth. The last 5 years have been filled with lots of card games, watching crap TV, reading, and watching her grandchildren join, and figure out this world. She's at the point now that she can't get out of bed and stopped reading. I'm spending some time with her and would love to read to her.

Suggest me a short book/story for someone on the way out. She's not religious but spiritual, and honestly loves a good crime/trash novel. Not that I need to read something impactful, but I think I'd like to?? Something beautiful.
