I’m a university student and I spend most of my day commuting to school, in class, and studying so I’m often both physically and mentally exhausted by the time I’m done, but I love to read so I’m looking for book recommendations that provide some escapism without being too complex so that I can enjoy them even when my brain isn’t at optimal performance.

Ilona Andrews Innkeeper Chronicles –A magic Inn, space werewolves and vampires, a lot of really unique aliens, mystery, romance, action, a fun and humorous series
Stan C. Smith books are exactly that. Easy to read. Zero resistance in getting into the rhythm of the prose. Exciting. Fun. Adventurous. And some really neat ideas. Just pick the first book in a series; they’re all pretty good.
My favs so far are Bridgers series and Across Horizons series.
And I’ve heard really good things about his new book Rampage Ridge in a new Fused series. It’s in my queue.
Be careful though, they are page turners so you might risk staying up until 4am reading.
I definitely recommend People From My Neighborhood by Hiromi Kawakami. Short, digestible chapters and a very unique concept that is unsettling but also cozy if that makes sense.
