I am going through a really hard time. I tend to read a lot of literary fiction, but I currently can’t handle explicitly thinking about death or conflict or all these big things. I want a book that is like a warm, weighted blanket. It deals with heavy ideas, but makes you feel like things are all going to work out. The best example I can give is Terry Pratchett’s The Hogfather. It made me think about beliefs and magic without being saccharine sweet. Perhaps something that deals with grief or loss of identity in a way that makes you feel like you will figure it out. Thanks in advance!
