Looking for book recommendations, I’m finding it difficult to find a historical romance from this time period that isn’t just straight up all smut, or the total opposite christian historical fiction. I’m not against sexual themes, but not interested in old lady porno books.
I’d be interested in non-romance suggestions as well, as long as the other boxes are checked 🙂
- Set in the late 1700’s to early 1900’s
- Strong female lead
- Romance (not porn)
- No mysteries or heavy fantasy
I loved the snow child, little house books, and when calls the heart. I’ve also enjoyed a couple of books by Tracie Peterson, Sarah Eden, and Misty Beller, they just don’t give me exactly what I’m looking for with writing style.
Any recommendations are appreciated 🙂
