I (26F) am having some issues at work with being too much of a push over. I work for an AEC firm, and I manage a lot of high value proposals and often work with men who are much older than me. I’m having some trouble making connections with these individuals and being respected when I’m running projects. Does anyone have suggestions for books that deal with topics of women in business, being respected in the work place, and so on? I know there are so many options out there, I’m just unsure where to start. I feel like my upbringing as a southern Baptist in the south east has left me with some bad habits about how women have to behave which often leaves me being much too submissive and under confident in my abilities.
