I've hit my mid-30s and have realised I'm a bit tired of just flowing down the river of life rather than taking control of the flow. And probably need more nonfiction and directional reading to add some balance to the copious amount of 'escapism through fiction'.
In particular, I want to put more effort into how to develop my career, finances (although I have already started chatting about investing, etc with my partner) and lead a more mindful and considered life.
Some books I've picked up recently and enjoyed:
- How to keep house while drowning
- Maybe you should talk to someone
- Attached
- The Thin Book of Trust
Please avoid the common Atomic Habits, The Subtle Art, Jen Sincero books pretty please!
