So I don't have much to work on so I apologize in advance for that. But I remember this book being really popular in the mid to late 90s for the young adult crowd. It had a picture of a sidewalk with words written in it to (I think) memorialize someone who had died. There was also a tree in the background with no people of the cover I think. I can only remember tree sidewalk and grass. I believe the ending of the book was when they write the words in the fresh cement.
