i'm even open to memoirs as I'm trying to get more into them or maybe something similar to France Kafka, Virginia wolf, anne sexton;
(more so memoirs in relation to addiction and mental illness)
The books I have so far that I'm going to check out at the library are: house of leaves and parable of the sower- maybe something similar to those but also I struggle with getting into books and finishing them so I'm wondering if somebody can suggest something that is really easy to get into that will make me want to finish it all the way through. I would appreciate anything that isn't more than 7-800 pages but if it's a good book I will check it out! Thank you so much in advance

Educated by Tara Westover and Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls are more modern memoirs that felt pretty compelling and easy to get into for me. Both have a parent with addiction/mental illness
Girl, Interrupted by Susanna Kaysen is a good one for memoir
Rules for a Knight by Ethan Hawke is an easy read and it’s got a lot of sweet tid bits and life lessons
The Haunting of Leigh Harker by Darcy Coates and The September House by Carissa Orlando are really good haunted house books
I read Mathew Perry’s memoir Friends, Lovers, And The Big Terrible Thing. It’s pretty heavy, but I really loved it. It’s about his addiction and his life.
