TRYING TO FIND STORY NAME

Not a book suggestion but I need to find the name of this story. It's a short story, I can't remember if it's by itself as its own book or if it's part of a series of short stories. The cover I remember seeing was mostly green with what looked to be "laser" lines? with a "robot" looking mannequin that was white i think???? EVERYONE in the psychological thriller realm says it's a great read but it slightly post apocalyptic/dystopian sci fi. i swear it's something about robots becoming sentient and killing the protagonist or something. GOD PLEASE HELP
