I'm a 24 year old woman and I've only read(finished) three books in my life, where one of them was in school, and not my own choice. This is because of my adhd. I can't follow by just reading or listening, I have to do both! This has kind of killed any motivation for me previously, but now I am motivated to try again!
I've read Stephen king's The shining, because it is my favorite movie. I absolutely loved the book, and it made me want to get into reading more.
The other book I read is the picture of Dorian gray, which I also really enjoyed!
The third book was Anne Frank's diary in school. Although it really was interesting, that is not the type of book I am currently interested in reading.
In other media, I really enjoy horror and sci-fi, so I am interested in reading this aswell! I think for me to be able to follow it, I would prefer a book that doesn't have too many characters. I want it to be easy to follow, without it being too childish or lacking on details!
I've bought Frankenstein and am planing to read that, once I get a hold of the audiobook!
I hope this makes sense! English is not my first language, and writing has always been even more difficult than reading for me!
